This position will initially begin on Day shift, Monday through Thursday from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, to complete training and onboarding before transitioning to the assigned Night shift schedule upon launch in 2027 . The Night shift will be the following: Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 4:00 AM, with production planned to begin in 2027.

External candidates hired into this role are eligible for a $1,000 Sign-on Bonus. The first $500 is paid u pon hire and the second $500 is paid upon successful completion of the 90 day introductory period. The Maintenance Technician roles are also eligible for relocation support which would apply to hires that live more than 50 miles away per our policy. The relocation support provides a total of $7,500, consisting of a $2,500 payment upon acceptance of the offer and an additional $5,000 payment after 30 days in the role.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for and involved in:

• Maintenance and repair of equipment

• Analyzing and Troubleshooting malfunctions of equipment related to components, diagnosing and correcting the problems quickly

• Read and interpret drawings and Electrical schematics

• Calibration of equipment (Fluid, Air and Fan)

• Understanding and troubleshooting Safety and intrusion alarms inside Paint booths

• Gun rebuilding (touch-up guns, Paint guns and BELLS)

• Perform corrective and preventative work on all plant equipment

• Booth and Oven Air Balancing

• Conveyor and Reader knowledge

Responsibilities

• Works within the Production & Logistics (P&L) Way, reads follows, and identifies improvements for verbal and standard written work instructions (SWI), position standards, and standard operating procedures.

• Demonstrates role model level P&L Way attitudes & behaviors, core values, and excellent attendance.

• Practices safe work behavior, including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adherence to safety guidelines. Identifies and corrects or escalates potentially unsafe situations/conditions.

• Complies with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements; reports hazards, environmental risks, and incidents, uses required PPE; operates equipment safety, and helps maintain a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

• Role model of the 100% mindset and takes full ownership and responsibility of position/station. Understands impact of work to outcomes and production interdependencies.

• Demonstrates advanced level proficiency in the department’s core processes, with the ability to independently execute standard workflows and identify routine issues, escalating more complex problems as needed.

• Meets the required competency or certification standards for workstations, areas and processes per the department skills matrix.

• Executes standard work within takt and demonstrates proper Andon utilization, exhibiting the courage to speak up, identify deviations, and initiate communication without hesitation. Exhibits the “Right from me” behavior.

• Active participant to continuous improvement efforts and problem-solving methods, updates standard work instructions. Identifies improvements as needed.

• Collaborates with engineering on new solutions and new product introductions.

• Maintains strong safety, normal situation, 5S standards, good organization of workspace, and housekeeping.

• Performs routine inspections on products, processes, and materials to ensure work output meets product specifications.

• Can explain issues and targets on the RTM board and take responsibility for countermeasures and actions.

• Keeps Team Lead and Supervisor informed of any issues or challenges.

• Effectively contribute with ideas across functions to enable collaboration

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks with appropriate guidance, documenting work performed per procedure in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

• Respond to equipment issues by identifying abnormalities, using Andon/escalation as needed, and supporting “Right from me” quality.

• Support continuous improvement by practicing basic problem-solving and following 5S/housekeeping standards.

• Perform routine checks/inspections and communicate status, risks, and constraints promptly to the Lead, Supervisor, and maintenance team.

• Assist with scheduled preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime.

• Maintain and repair electro-mechanical equipment and supporting systems (e.g., hydraulic/pneumatic, fluid process control, plasma cutters, and automated welding and painting equipment).

• Disassemble, clean, rebuild, troubleshoot, and repair components such as pumps, air motors, gear drives, welders, and fluid power systems.

• Diagnose equipment failures at the system and component levels and support corrective actions to restore production.

• Participate in emergency response activities as trained and assigned.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

• At least 1 year of experience in maintenance related field

OR

• Associate degree in maintenance, mechanical or electrical related field

OR

• High School Diploma or GED

• At least 3 years of experience in a maintenance related field

OR

• High School Diploma or GED

• At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance related field

OR

• High School Diploma or GED

• At least 7 years of experience in a maintenance related field

Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. • Physical Requirements (Ability to do the following up to 10 hours per shift):

• Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl

• Climb using both legs and arms

• Head/neck movement

• Reach outward or above the shoulder

• Lift, carry, push, or pull 15-45 pounds

• Repetitive use of hands and fingers

• Use of vibrating tools/hand tools

• Depth perception required

• Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of color

• Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases, solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces

• Drive or operate equipment such as lifts and/or motor vehicles

• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and automated manufacturing systems

• General understanding of industrial safety principles

• Ability to self-manage work priorities

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance & troubleshooting of industrial systems.

• May be required to work on equipment outdoors

• Ability to work different shifts and overtime as needed
