Location: Walnut Creek, California. This is an on-site opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working closely with colleagues and clients in a professional office environment in the East Bay.

Note: Candidates must be admitted to the California Bar and have at least 4 years of directly relevant civil litigation experience.

Job Description

• Manage civil litigation matters through multiple stages of the litigation lifecycle.
• Develop case strategy, evaluate claims and defenses, and help drive matters toward successful resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and other proceedings.
• Work directly with clients to understand objectives, provide strategic guidance, and communicate case developments.
• Conduct legal research and prepare clear, persuasive written analysis.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff while independently managing deadlines and priorities.
• Negotiate practical resolutions while remaining prepared to advocate aggressively when litigation requires it.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license.
• 4+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong litigation writing, research, analytical, and case management skills.
• Experience handling discovery, motions, depositions, and litigation strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and client priorities.
• Professional, responsive, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of cases.
