Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An onsite contract position is available in a vibrant school environment near Stevensville, MD, with the academic year beginning August 17th or 24th and concluding June 11th or 18th. This full-time role (7 hours per day, including a 30-minute lunch, totaling 32.5 hours weekly) offers meaningful involvement with a diverse K-12 caseload, supporting inclusive settings as well as specialized classrooms focused on behavior and life skills.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Strong background working with students with diverse abilities, including behavioral needs and life skills development
• Experience across K-12 educational settings is preferred
• Familiarity with both inclusion models and self-contained classrooms
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working alongside general educators, related service providers, and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with student needs and goals
• Provide direct instruction and adapt curriculum for students in both inclusion and self-contained settings
• Monitor, record, and communicate student progress
• Effectively manage classroom environments and support behavioral development
• Collaborate regularly with school staff, parents, and service teams to ensure comprehensive student support
• Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom culture
