Location: Atlanta, GA | Onsite

Job Summary

The Operations Manager will serve as the onsite operational lead for the Atlanta ATN Pilot Project, overseeing day-to-day operational delivery from construction through pilot revenue service. This role will coordinate with contractors during construction, lead field commissioning and testing activities, and establish and manage the operations team for pilot launch.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in field operations, construction management, transit operations, or complex transportation systems, along with strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead onsite operational activities throughout construction, testing, commissioning, and pilot revenue service.
Coordinate with contractors and technical teams to support construction and field integration activities.
Lead field commissioning, testing, system troubleshooting, and operational readiness activities.
Establish and manage the operations team supporting the pilot launch.
Manage hourly, part-time, or intern-level staff as required.
Monitor operational KPIs and prepare performance reports.
Support incident management and operational issue resolution.
Coordinate effectively with technical teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Support the transition from construction and testing activities into pilot operations.

Required Qualifications

Strong background in field operations, construction management, transit operations, or complex transportation systems.
Experience managing operational KPIs and performance reporting.
Experience managing hourly, part-time, or intern-level staff.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to work effectively with technical teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Must be a local Atlanta-area candidate.
Ability to work onsite throughout construction, testing, and pilot phases.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in rail, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), airport operations, or other complex transportation environments.
Experience with commissioning, field integration, system troubleshooting, and incident management.
PE or PMP certification highly desired.
Experience in the Atlanta transit market or similar operating environments.

Work Requirements

Onsite role in Atlanta, GA.
Must be available onsite throughout construction, testing, and pilot phases.
