RN (Registered Nurse) ER Per Diem

Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity This is a Per Diem day night shift schedule. Responsibilities Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times. Recognize signs and symptoms of stroke and activate stroke alert, verbalizing the stroke alert process. Perform NIHSS and bedside swallow, assist with telemedicine consult and physician evaluation of thrombolytic therapy inclusion/exclusion criteria, mixing, administration, and monitoring of thrombolytic therapy if patient is deemed a candidate, prepare patient for endovascular treatment as indicated, and assume patient care while in the Emergency Department. Maintain currency in stroke knowledge by completing NIHSS training and a minimum of 8 hours of stroke‑related training annually. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program. Prefer one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute care setting. BLS certification (current upon hire). ACLS, PALS, and/or required specialty training or course completion (or obtained within three months of employment) in the required specialty. Current Florida nursing license. Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
