Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Must-Have: Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Ability to float to different units or facilities within a designated radius Description: We are looking for nurses to join our fast-paced Client/Stroke Team. Teamwork and clear communication are essential for this position. We seek team members who strive to improve the quality of life for patients. Assist in enhancing patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs). Clinical teams will conduct interviews before presenting candidates for this position. Floating may be required based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity. Travelers will be notified before scheduled shifts if a float assignment is necessary. Unit capacity is designed for 30 beds, primarily serving stroke patients. There are also some general medical-surgical patients mixed in. Patient ages range from young adults to late adults (18 - 60+). The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. The core staffing plan includes Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Nurse Interns (NIs). An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team. BLS and NIH Certifications are required.
