Inventory Planner

Inventory PlannerLaSalle Network is partnering with a leading food manufacturing organization to hire an Inventory Planner to support product life cycle management, inventory planning, and SKU transitions. This role will manage end-of-life activities for discontinued products, analyze inventory and supply chain data, and work cross-functionally to minimize excess inventory, waste, and potential write-offs. The ideal candidate has a strong supply chain background, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to analyze large amounts of data while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Key responsibilities include:Manage end-of-life activities for products being discontinued, including timelines, inventory run-outs, and transition plansTrack finished goods, raw materials, and packaging inventory throughout the product discontinuation processMonitor project plans and provide regular status updates to managementIdentify risks, missed milestones, and root causes while developing recommendations to minimize business impactAnalyze supply chain data and reports to identify inventory risks, exceptions, and opportunities for waste reductionBuild and maintain reporting using multiple data sourcesSupport SKU transitions and maintain accurate product life cycle informationWork cross-functionally with supply planning, inventory management, purchasing, and other supply chain teamsIdentify and resolve issues related to product transitions and inventory managementDevelop and document processes, policies, and procedures for managing SKU life cyclesPresent findings, project updates, and recommendations to various audiencesManage multiple projects and priorities while adapting to changing business needsUtilize ERP and business intelligence systems to gather and analyze supply chain informationSupport initiatives focused on reducing obsolescence, excess inventory, and potential write-offsKey qualifications include:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business, Logistics, or a related quantitative field2+ years of relevant supply chain experienceBackground in supply planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related supply chain functionStrong Excel skills, including Power Query, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, data merging, and exception reportingStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to mine and interpret large data setsExperience building reports from multiple data sourcesUnderstanding of supply chain business processes and inventory flowsStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to present data, concepts, and recommendations to multiple audiencesAbility to manage multiple priorities and shift focus quickly in a fast-paced environmentComfortable working independently with a high level of ambiguityStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsSAP experience preferredExperience with Business Warehouse or Business Intelligence systems preferredStep into an Inventory Planner role where you'll combine supply chain knowledge and advanced data analytics to manage product life cycles, improve inventory decisions, and help minimize excess inventory and obsolescence.
