Business Support Specialist

DataPerk | Birmingham, AL | Full-Time, Onsite

We’re looking for an organized, resourceful, and people-focused Business Support Specialist to join our Birmingham team. This isn’t your typical administrative position. You’ll be at the center of our day-to-day operations, helping create a welcoming and professional office environment while also partnering with our sales and technical teams to develop accurate, client-focused quotes and proposals.

This position plays an important role in supporting our employees, clients, and daily office operations, so this is a fully onsite position based in our Birmingham office and requires working in the office five days per week. What You’ll DoHelp Turn Client Needs into Solutions

You’ll work closely with our Account Managers, Sales Engineers, technicians, clients, and vendors to help move opportunities from conversation to proposal.

• Gather information and technical requirements needed to prepare client solutions.
• Create accurate, detailed, and professional quotes and proposals for prospective and existing clients.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Account Managers throughout the quoting process.
• Communicate professionally with clients and vendors to gather information, answer questions, and keep the process moving.
• Participate in site surveys and other information-gathering activities when needed.
• Stay knowledgeable about DataPerk’s products and services through ongoing training.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, activities, and time in our ticketing system and other company systems.

Keep Our Office Running Smoothly

You’ll also play an important role in making DataPerk a great place for employees, clients, and visitors.

• Greet visitors and provide friendly, professional assistance to clients.
• Answer incoming calls and route client requests appropriately.
• Create service tickets and help connect clients with the right DataPerk team member.
• Coordinate internal meetings, team luncheons, celebrations, and other company events.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and client shipments.
• Maintain office supplies and coordinate approved purchases.
• Help ensure our conference rooms, kitchen, common areas, and overall office remain professional and welcoming.
• Coordinate outside vendors, including janitorial and landscaping services.
• Assist Accounting with processing and scanning incoming checks.
• Help track, organize, and reconcile company inventory and assets.
• Maintain company fleet records and coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, registrations, and inspections.
• Pitch in with other projects and responsibilities as needed. We’re a collaborative team!

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's or Associate degree in Business Administration, Communications or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams). 
• Work History: Proven track record of a stable administrative work history (3+ years of continuous experience)
