Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely and effective treatment while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide acute emergency care to patients presenting with a variety of medical conditions.
• Assess patient symptoms, perform physical examinations, and document findings accurately in EPIC.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other staff to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain a safe environment and adhere to infection control standards.
• Float to other units as assigned, demonstrating proficiency in multiple clinical settings.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in Tennessee.
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Emergency Room nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of EMR experience, specifically with EPIC.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI, PALS; TNCC preferred.
• Ability to work 3x12 night shifts and cover every other weekend, with flexibility based on needs.
