The District 6 (Sagadahoc County, Lincoln County, Knox County, and Waldo County) District Attorney’s Office is seeking a full‑time Assistant District Attorney for Sagadahoc County in our Bath office. The Assistant District Attorney will be primarily responsible for criminal prosecution for adults in the Unified Criminal Docket as well as appellate cases before the Law Court. Prosecute criminal cases for adults at the Unified Criminal Docket. Handle appellate cases before the Law Court. Engage in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings. Provide legal counsel and recommendations to the District Attorney and staff. Qualifications include: Member of the Maine Bar in good standing. Strong desire for a career in litigation and prosecution. Trial experience and developed trial skills are a plus. High ethical standards, sound judgment, strong communication and inter‑personal skills. Organizational and time‑management skills. Strong writing skills. Commitment to criminal justice reform and racial and gender justice. Interest in complex state and federal regulations. Ability to function effectively as part of a team.
