We're a nonprofit organization with a people-first mission, and we value team members who take pride in their work and care about the people they serve.This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active, working with others, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.A Typical DayAs a Culinary Services Aide, you'll support both the kitchen and dining areas throughout your shift. Your work may include:Cleaning and sanitizing dishes, silverware, glasses, cookware, and kitchen toolsKeeping dishwashing stations and surrounding kitchen areas neat and ready for useHelping culinary staff with basic food preparation, such as washing and cutting produce, preparing salads, or assembling dessertsGetting dining spaces ready before meals and helping keep them organized afterwardMoving food carts, dishes, and other supplies throughout the communityTaking out waste and maintaining clean, sanitary work areasFollowing established food-safety, sanitation, and infection-prevention practicesPitching in with coworkers to help meals and service run efficientlyYou'll be an important part of the team that helps residents enjoy a pleasant and well-organized dining experience.What Makes You a Good Fit?You don't need a culinary background to succeed in this role. We provide training and will help you learn the job.We're looking for someone who:Shows up reliably and takes responsibility for their workWorks well with coworkers and is comfortable being part of a teamNotices when something needs to be cleaned, organized, or restockedCan follow instructions and established safety proceduresMaintains a positive, helpful attitude during busy periodsIs comfortable performing routine and repetitive tasks while paying attention to detailsPrevious restaurant, kitchen, housekeeping, healthcare, or senior-living experience is welcome but not required.What the Job RequiresThis is an active position, and you'll spend much of your shift on your feet.
