Assistant Controller

Job Description
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Fund Accounting with a focus on Private Equity
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in developing and implementing internal controls and financial policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Support the preparation of tax filings and audit documentation.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff to foster professional growth.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

The Successful Applicant
- A strong educational background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Private Equity exposure would be a huge plus
- Expertise in financial reporting and compliance with industry standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various teams.
