Growth Marketer

About the Role

A fast-moving, seed-stage fintech startup building a mobile-first universal trading platform is looking for a Growth Marketer to own top-of-funnel strategy and execution. You'll work directly with the founding team to design and run growth experiments across channels, building awareness for the platform's products among developers, traders, enterprise buyers, and finance enthusiasts. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role for someone who moves fast, understands the tech and fintech landscape, and has a proven track record of making things spread.

This is a full-time, fully on-site role based in New York City, NY . Remote work is not available. Visa sponsorship is not available — candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

What You'll Do

• Design and execute growth experiments across owned, earned, and paid channels — including social media, UGC, content marketing, and community campaigns

• Plan and manage in-person growth activations end-to-end: events, meetups, competitions, and brand partnerships — including logistics, on-site execution, and post-event measurement

• Own SEO and content strategy — produce and distribute content that ranks on traditional (e.g., Google) and AI-powered/semantic search surfaces and reaches the right technical and consumer finance audiences

• Build and manage performance dashboards to track experiment results, channel ROI, and growth metrics for regular reporting to founders

• Develop and manage distribution partnerships with influencers, developer and trader communities, and partner channels to extend organic reach

• Build and engage developer- and trader-focused communities (Discord, Slack, Reddit, Telegram, forums) and run campaigns to drive awareness

• Manage paid social campaigns and multiple ad accounts simultaneously

• Identify and test new growth surfaces — emerging platforms, viral formats, and untapped audience segments

• Use data, A/B testing, and cohort analysis to iterate quickly on funnel metrics and experiment results

What We're Looking For

Must-Have

• 2+ years of experience in a growth, performance marketing, or content role — ideally at a startup or high-growth tech or fintech company

• Demonstrated track record of at least one significant growth accomplishment: a viral campaign, a side project with meaningful traction, or measurable company-level audience/revenue growth

• Experience designing and executing growth experiments across paid, owned, and earned channels with measurable improvements in acquisition, activation, or retention metrics

• Strong content instincts — you know what resonates with technical, trading, and finance-adjacent audiences; ability to produce narrative-driven marketing copy that captures the zeitgeist

• Comfortable owning and managing paid social campaigns and multiple ad accounts simultaneously

• Strong analytical skills — proficiency with tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel or Amplitude, UTM tracking, and basic SQL for funnel analysis

• Experience planning and executing in-person events and brand partnerships

• Demonstrated experience building and engaging online communities (Discord, Slack, Reddit, Telegram, Hacker News)

• Comfortable operating autonomously in an early-stage (1–10 person) environment with high ambiguity, rapid iteration, and frequent cross-functional collaboration

• Flexible schedule availability to support events and campaign timing that may occur outside standard business hours (evenings/weekends)

• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship; able to work fully on-site in New York City

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with fintech, crypto, trading products, or prediction markets; sensitivity to regulatory considerations for financial marketing

• Prior founder experience or early employee role at a venture-backed startup

• Has built and grown a personal or brand social following from scratch

• Active participation in communities such as Reddit, Discord, Hacker News, crypto Twitter, or Telegram

• Launched a side project, product, or community that found meaningful traction

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $140,000 – $180,000 USD annually, depending on experience

• Early-stage equity opportunity
