Job Description

MATERIAL HANDLER

Monday - Friday

8:00 am -5:00 pm

$18.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Review production schedules or requisitions to determine materials needed
Move materials between receiving and production areas
Sort and store materials according to established procedures
Fulfill material requisitions accurately and efficiently
Open crates and containers to verify contents
Count and record incoming and outgoing materials
Enter receiving and distribution data into the ERP system

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
Forklift operation experience required; certification must be obtained
Read and interpret procedure manuals, blueprints, safety rules, and maintenance instructions
Perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Troubleshoot and resolve practical problems in a fast-paced environment
Follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions accurately
