Position Overview

The Scheduling Coordinator manages the flow of the day by handling patient communication, organizing the schedule, and supporting both the administrative and clinical teams. Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming first impression

• Manage the daily schedule to ensure efficiency and productivity for the dental team

• Answer phones, respond to messages, and coordinate patient communication

• Schedule and confirm appointments, including hygiene and treatment visits

• Verify insurance benefits and assist patients with basic insurance questions

• Collect and post payments, provide treatment estimates, and discuss financial arrangements

• Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed

• Assist with recall and reactivation to keep the schedule full

• Coordinate referrals, pre‑authorizations, and documentation when needed

• Support the team with general administrative tasks to keep the office running smoothly

Qualifications

• Prior dental or medical front office experience preferred

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor

• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment

• Comfort with computers, scheduling software, and digital communication

• Willingness to learn dental terminology, insurance basics, and office workflows
