David Weekley Homes is seeking an enthusiastic, customer service-driven Part-time Receptionist to operate the front desk at our Houston headquarters.

This Team Member will interact in person and over the phone with customers and fellow team members. The successful candidate will have prior reception or administrative experience, along with a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills and a drive to help and support others.

Our office is located near the intersection of West Loop Freeway (610) and I-10 Katy Freeway on North Post Oak Rd.

Schedule: Part Time, Wednesday - Friday, 8am – 5pm

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Answer main company telephone line; screen, then direct or provide information to callers as appropriate
• Enthusiastically greet and provide information to guests. Direct guests to proper locations.
• Be punctual and dependable so the front desk is staffed at all times
• Consistently provide outstanding customer service internally and externally
• Assist with sorting incoming mail/packages, preparing outgoing mail/packages, and maintaining the mail/supply room as needed
• Update, maintain & distribute company phone list
• Maintain a tidy front desk area
• Provide general administrative and clerical support

Qualifications

Experience Required:

• 5+ years demonstrated success in a reception/front desk or closely related role
• Must have a competent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Record of excellent attendance and punctuality

Required Qualifications:

• Driven by a desire to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers
• Lack of “phone reluctance”. This role involves heavy phone use.
• Patient, tactful and polite
• Professional demeanor and personal presentation
• Friendly and people-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people
• Enjoys handling routine or repetitive tasks and working independently
• Able to remain focused with numerous interruptions throughout the day
• Clear and effective verbal communication skills
• Organized with a strong attention to detail

Additional Information

Work Location: This is an on-site position at our Houston headquarters located near the intersection of I-10 Katy Freeway & 610 W Loop N Freeway.
