Registered Nurse - CVICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides specialized critical care nursing for cardiac patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence. Supervises and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor the health status of cardiac patients through continuous evaluation of clinical data.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and medical orders.
• Administer medications, interventions, and therapies with precision and adherence to protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans, post-discharge instructions, and health management strategies.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to nursing staff and oversee their execution to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in critical care or CVICU.
• BLS certification from an approved vendor; ACLS certification preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform advanced cardiac monitoring and interventions.
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
