Respiratory Therapist
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This position involves working with a diverse patient population, primarily in critical care areas including ICUs, ED, PCUs, and NICU. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to provide advanced respiratory care.
Location: Puyallup, WA
Type: Level III Trauma Center
Beds: 375 licensed beds
Patient Population
- Neonates
- Geriatrics
Key Responsibilities
- Support respiratory care for patients in critical areas.
- Utilize Bubble CPAP in NICU as a secondary function under direction from the primary therapist.
- Maintain respiratory equipment and assist with patient therapy.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care and respiratory therapy outcomes.
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NRP (must have scheduled class prior to starting)
Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
- Experience with CRRT or RRT preferred.
- Ability to draw and analyze ABGs.
- Proficient in BiPAP, CPAP, and Ventilator/Trach Management.
- Familiarity with various respiratory therapies and equipment.
- Preferred experience with neonates.

Charting and Equipment
- Charting System: EPIC
- Blood Gas Machine: GEM
- MedSafe: Pyxis
- Ventilators: Medtronic 980, Draeger, LTV, Servo NIV
Scheduling and Availability
- Shift Times: 0600-1830 (Days), 1800-0630 (Nights)
- 3 x 12 hour shifts, with 1:1 orientation with Lead Respiratory Therapists.
- Must be available to work 7 days a week.
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend.
- Requests for blocks of scheduling can be made but are not guaranteed.
- Time off requests require 2 weeks notice.
Holiday Expectations
Team members are expected to work at least one holiday per year.
