Job Opportunity

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical 3E

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract position on the Medical Surgical 3E unit. The shift hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This role requires candidates to have current BLS certification and NIHSS knowledge. There are no call requirements, and the unit expects four weekend shifts per month.

Unit Profile

The Medical Surgical 3E unit consists of:

Location: Medical Surgical 3E, City, State
Number of Beds: 28
Staffing: 32 FTEs
Patient Ratios: 5:1 to 6:1
Equipment: Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, Telemetry
EMR: Meditech

General Information

Night Shift Staffing:

1 Charge Nurse
6 Registered Nurses (RNs)
3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)

Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, the following qualifications are mandatory:

Current BLS certification
NIHSS certification

The following skills are preferred:

Three or more years of nursing experience
Epilepsy care experience

Dress Code

The uniform consists of navy blue scrubs with the logo displayed. Please adhere closely to the dress code policy to maintain professionalism on the unit.
