# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med Surg/Telemetry) – Texas Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week contract, Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 12-hour shifts, 4 weekend shifts per schedule, No call required Highlights:

• 30-bed Neuro Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit with 1:5 patient ratio
• Collaborative team environment with RNs, LVNs, and PCTs on each shift
• Meditech EMR system with modern equipment including COWs, PCA pumps, and CareView Virtual Sitter technology
• Typical procedures include stroke NIH assessments, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care
• Award-winning unit with multiple ICARE award winners and patient-centered recognition programs
• Navy scrubs provided, supportive onboarding with unit packet on start date

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain)
• Current BLS certification required
• NIH stroke scale certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Previous telemetry and medical/surgical experience required
• IV therapy experience essential
