Work Schedule: Sunday, 8:00 PM – 4:20 AM and Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 4:20 AM
Work Week: Starts Sunday at 8:00 PM and ends Friday at 4:00 AM

Job Summary

• The Helper is responsible for setting up, operating, and assisting with various operations on aluminum products. Duties include heat treating, stretching, sawing, inspecting, packing, and weighing materials to meet production specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Material Handling & Preparation

• Stretch, pre-roll, roll-straighten, and contour aluminum products.
• Shear metal to rough-cut length for subsequent operations.
• Prepare aluminum products for heat treatment.
• Drain and refill lubricant tanks.
• Change saw blades as required.

Machine Operation

• Operate stretchers, saws, pallet jacks, and hoists.
• Install and change jaw grips.
• Use tailstock controls and transfer equipment.
• Clean saw chip collection systems.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.

Inspection & Quality Control

• Inspect finished products for specification compliance.
• Check product dimensions and quality throughout production.

Packing & Documentation

• Prepare containers and materials for packing.
• Pack and weigh finished products.
• Maintain production records, charts, and required documentation.

Maintenance & Support

• Perform limited maintenance tasks such as tightening bolts,
  changing rollers, and lubrication.
• Assist with painting and general equipment upkeep.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Materials Used

• Aluminum products, scrap, lubricants, spirits, foil, paper, twine, cord, wire, emery cloth, ink, glue, lumber, chipboard, tape, staples, banding materials, rope, and slings.

Tools & Equipment

• Stretchers (5,000–250,000 lbs.), powered hand saws, scales, banding tools, staple guns, marking devices, pallet jacks, reach trucks, conveyors, hoists, micrometers, tape measures, gauges, and dial indicators.

Education

• High School Diploma required.

Language

• English – Read, Write, and Speak.
