Call Center Agent

As a Call Center Agent, you will be the first point of contact for patients seeking to schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments. Your role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate appointment scheduling, and maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing inbound and outbound calls to schedule, reschedule, or cancel patient appointments across various departments.
• Verifying and updating patient demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate records.
• Providing clear and concise information to patients regarding appointment details, directions, and preparation instructions.
• Sending appointment reminders and follow-up communications to reduce no-show rates.
• Collaborating with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address scheduling conflicts.
• Adhering to HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years in a medical call center or similar healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and practice management software; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Bilingual preferred.
