Experienced ASC surgery scheduler needed for busy multispecialty surgery center. Applicant must be able to a pleasant demeanor and have effective communication skills. Must be highly organized and possess excellent time management and customer service skills. Applicant should also have a good working knowledge of insurance as well. Duties include but are not limited to:

1.Schedules patient surgeries and puts on the ASC schedule, communicates with surgeon office to make sure all necessary documentation has been received in a reasonable time frame,

2. Responsible for accurately entering scheduling, insurance and registration information into the appropriate system(s).

3. Maintains and monitors surgical block time to keep utilization at a high standard; advises surgeon of unused time and releases the unused time to prevent loss of department's surgical block time.

4. Ensures all requirements for the procedure have been obtained and confirmed with the Facility or other parties to include medical/imaging records and needed equipment/instruments

5. Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested

6. Cross-trains as back up to other business office positions as requested, Performs other general duties as assigned. 

7. Supports and adheres to all company and practice policies and procedures. Supports and adheres to NTTC Code of Conduct, related Ethics and Compliance policies, and HIPAA requirements.
