Maintenance Technician Location: Candler, FL Work Arrangement: Onsite (Townley) Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday to Friday Additional overtime available* Compensation: Starting $20-22/hr What We Do At Weir We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. What You’ll Do Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily checks on the operation and condition of all production equipment to ensure readiness and prevent downtime. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, adjusting parts using hand and machine tools to maintain optimal performance. Inventory & Resource Management: Plan repair inventory and maintain equipment needs to avoid shortages or excesses, including controlling and mixing chemicals, bonding agents, primers, oils, and fluids. Safety & Preventative Measures: Apply preventative maintenance to reduce future risks, fix potential safety hazards, and conduct routine safety checks in compliance with OSHA standards. Reporting & Communication: Maintain accurate maintenance reports, inventory, and status updates; communicate effectively with production teams to alleviate delays or interruptions. Work Environment Adaptation: Operate safely in a manufacturing environment with loud noise, high temperatures, and dust, using required PPE such as steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and respirators.
