Shift Manager – Restaurant & Bar Operations The Landing Eatery and Pub | Liberty, MO Job Summary The Landing Eatery and Pub is seeking a motivated and dependable Shift Manager to help lead our team and ensure every guest receives outstanding service. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations during assigned shifts, supporting team members, and maintaining high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and efficiency. As a Shift Manager, you’ll lead by example while working closely with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and support team members to create a positive guest experience. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, and passionate about delivering great hospitality in a fast-paced restaurant environment. What You’ll Do Shift Leadership & Operations Lead restaurant operations during your shift to ensure smooth service and efficient workflow Supervise and support servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, and kitchen staff Monitor service quality and ensure guests receive prompt, friendly hospitality Step in to assist team members wherever needed during busy service periods Guest Experience Address guest questions, feedback, or concerns professionally and promptly Ensure every guest has a positive dining experience from arrival to departure Maintain a welcoming and hospitable environment throughout the restaurant Team Support & Development Assist with training, coaching, and supporting team members Help build a strong, positive team culture Communicate clearly with staff to ensure expectations and procedures are understood Restaurant Standards Monitor cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the restaurant Ensure all team members follow company service procedures and policies Support opening and closing procedures for the restaurant Administrative Responsibilities Assist with shift reports and operational documentation Oversee cash handling and ensure accurate register procedures Support scheduling and staffing needs as directed by management What We’re Looking For Previous restaurant leadership, shift lead, or supervisory experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to hospitality standards Reliable, punctual, and professional Team-oriented leadership style with a positive attitude Why Work at The Landing Eatery and Pub?
