Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current RN license in Kansas
• Experience working as a school nurse or with pediatric populations preferred
• Expertise in managing complex medical needs and familiarity with individualized healthcare plans (IHPs)
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and healthcare providers
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach, especially when supporting medically fragile children

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct 1:1 care throughout the school day, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring vital signs as outlined in the student’s care plan
• Communicate promptly with families, school staff, and medical professionals regarding the student’s well-being and any changes in condition
• Ensure a safe environment, including managing and responding to medical emergencies
• Maintain detailed health records in compliance with confidentiality requirements and school policies
• Support the student’s educational experience by assisting with accommodations and participating in relevant meetings
