This position offers multiple openings for registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) working closely with dedicated teams to provide exceptional school nursing care near the Kansas City area. Assignments include roles as both building-based and 1:1 nurses, serving students in environments where your expertise truly makes a difference.

What You’ll Bring:

• Active RN or LPN licensure (Kansas)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience in pediatric, school, or community nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to collaborate with educators and families
• Adaptable mindset, comfortable moving between routine, urgent, and specialized care tasks
• Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and accurate health records

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily and emergency nursing care to students with acute or chronic needs
• Provide medication administration, health treatments, and first aid as needed
• Develop care plans for students with individualized needs, including 1:1 support for students in special programs (SPED SAILS)
• Conduct health screenings and support immunization tracking
• Serve as a valuable resource to staff and families about wellness and disease prevention
• Liaise with medical providers, counselors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain meticulous documentation and comply with district and state health guidelines
