Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

RN – Medical ICU (MICU)
Weekly hours: Can sign for 36 or 48 hours/week. Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Yes
Minimum of 1.5 years ICU experience required. Preferably 1.5 years MICU experience. If less than 2 years ICU experience, Level I ICU experience required. Must have experience in a 20+ bed ICU. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS/BLS. Required clinical competencies: Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias (must pass Relias EKG exam) Competent in caring for patients on CRRT via NxStage Pressor/vasoactive drip titration, ventilator management, ETT care Trachs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, wound care, phlebotomy Sterile technique for line insertion, paracentesis, bedside trach, chest tubes
Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the medical ICU. Monitor and manage patients' vital signs, level of consciousness, and overall condition. Administer medications, including IV and vasoactive drips, following protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Ensure safety and infection control standards are met within the unit. Document patient assessments and care provided in the electronic health record.
RTO: Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO in the first week of the assignment. COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed). Fit testing: No facial hair that prevents proper fit testing. Pre-start modules required and must be completed on timeline (modules billable up to 16 hours).
