Arconic is currently in search of a Fabricator II to join BCS Kawneer based in Visalia .

Job Summary:

This position could involve: Saw, Processing, Top and Bottom, Clipping, Bench Mechanic (Hardware application), GlassTop, Bunch Presses, Shapers, Shrink-Wrap, Boxing, and JDE Transaction for swing door, frame and slider products.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Adhere to all Kawneer rules and regulations
• Identifies material by part number and product finish.
• Install hardware and all accessories Door/Frame with packaging
• Loads and unloads materials onto shrink wrap operations and machinery by hand.
• Reads and interprets take-off sheets, cut lists, and shop orders to verify location of hardware and handing
• Operate all machinery required Including hand drills, routers.
• Verifies all measurements for accuracy and quality.
• Perform JDE transactions for packaging
• Mark proper identification on all jobs.
• Knowledge and ability to follow the MDR scrap material process.
• Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
• Performs quality inspections and reports errors.
• Operate and maintain equipment.
• Flexibility to other positions as required for business needs

Qualifications

You have (required):

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• One to six months related work experience
• Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets documents such as, Takeoffs, Kawneer terminology , D/OP drawings, safety rules
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondents.
• Ability to effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors.
• Ability to count, to add, to subtract and to multiply simple numbers.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with and respond to minor problems in standard work situations.
• Able to measure to 1/32 of an inch.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years' experience in construction industry
• 2 to 5 years leadership experience
• 2 to 5 years' experience trouble shooting customer issues.
• 2 to 5 years Kawneer Take off Terminology

Wage

• The base hourly rate for this role is $25.05

Kawneer Visalia is located in the Central Valley of California. Visalia offers the Sequoia National Park, Mooney Grove Park, the Fox Theatre, and the Visalia Farmers Market. We are in the middle of the state making everything within a 2-3 hour drive.
