Criminal Defense Attorney
Location: West Palm Beach, Florida

An established West Palm Beach boutique is adding a criminal defense attorney to a growing litigation practice. The firm is led by attorneys who came out of senior government and prosecutorial roles, and that shapes how it approaches defense work: every case is assessed the way the other side will assess it, from the first call.

This is an immediate hire. The caseload exists now. The firm is looking for an attorney who can take files and run with them from day one — not someone who needs a book of business or a long runway.

What You Will Do

• Handle criminal defense matters from intake through resolution — arraignment, pretrial motions, negotiation, and trial
• Manage your own docket with real autonomy and direct access to firm leadership
• Conduct case investigation, evidence review, and witness preparation
• Draft and argue motions to suppress, to dismiss, and in limine
• Negotiate with prosecutors and appear in state court
• Meet with clients and their families directly, often at the worst moment of their lives
• Try cases

What We Are Looking For

• Member in good standing of The Florida Bar
• Criminal defense experience — Florida state court practice preferred; federal experience welcome and not a disqualifier
• Independent courtroom experience: your own hearings, your own arguments, your own trials
• Sound judgment on when to fight a case and when to resolve it
• The ability to carry a full docket without close supervision
• Willingness to work on-site in West Palm Beach
