With a consistently increasing order intake, it has established a global reputation over the past seven decades as a highly reliable partner for value-added automated material handling solutions.Business Controller – Marietta (Atlanta)About the RoleThe Business Controller is part of the North America Business Controlling team, a group of 15+ professionals supporting Vanderlande operations across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.You will partner closely with business leaders to define financial objectives, drive performance improvements, and deliver actionable insights that enhance forecasting accuracy and business outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, consolidate, and report financial data across Service Contracts, Projects, Supply Chain, Factory, and Business Support, with a strong focus on Site-Based Services and ProjectsIdentify and drive financial improvement opportunities across the businessInitiate and lead continuous improvement projects, partnering cross-functionally to track and deliver measurable resultsSupport Services Controlling, including site-based services, spare parts, and field servicesSupport Project Controlling, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting throughout the project lifecyclePartner with Sales on Sales Controlling initiatives, including:Project cash flow managementForeign currency exposureLocal tax estimationEnsure compliance with company financial policies and proceduresCollaborate with Shared Services teams to ensure quality and timeliness of administrative processes (e.g., invoicing)Monitor financial performance and maintain Latest Estimates (LE) in line with forecasting cycles and deadlinesProvide financial guidance to ensure proper setup, execution, and reporting of projects and service contractsParticipate in monthly financial reviews and forecasting discussionsContribute to ad hoc and strategic projects across North America and global teamsQualifications & SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesEffective communicator and team player with strong organizational skillsAbility to multitask and manage competing prioritiesProactive, self-driven, and results-oriented mindsetDemonstrates ownership and accountability for work and outcomesBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance or related field (Master’s preferred)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience with Power BI preferredMinimum 5+ years of experience in a business controller or similar role in an international environmentExperience in project-based or global organizations strongly preferredAdditional InformationThis role may include participation in broader business initiatives and projects across the organization.
