We are looking to add a Seizure Monitoring Technologist at Wolfson's Children's Hospital, located in Downtown Jacksonville, FL.
As the Seizure Monitoring Technologist, you will provide 24-hour visual monitoring, and subsequent intervention when indicated, of seizure patients in the Neuro ICU and EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) via a remote video system. You will also maintain components of the monitoring system and communicate with staff and members of the Comprehensive Epilepsy team assigned to a patient regarding the patient's seizure status. At Baptist, we specialize in advanced neurodiagnostic care, offering innovative technology and services such as long-term epilepsy monitoring, intraoperative neuromonitoring, and epilepsy surgical support.
Positions designated as requiring a level II Background ( A detailed fingerprint-based screening for positions of trust that check state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history) will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment. Seizure Monitoring Technologist Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer treatment to patients of all diagnoses.
- Provide extensive patient/family education.
- Provide multidisciplinary team care with other rehab professionals, nurses, physicians, social service providers, respiratory therapists, support staff, etc.
- Participate in departmental operations and performance improvement activities.
- Responsible for remaining within budget guidelines.
- Participate in mandatory education and licensure requirements.
Experience Requirements:
- One-Two Years Long Term Monitoring/EEG Experience Required
Education & Credential Requirements:
- High School Diploma Required
- Registered EEG Technologist (ABRET) Required
- Registered in Continuous Long-Term Monitoring (LTM) Preferred
