divh2Urgent Care Physician (MD/DO)/h2pThe Urgent Care Physician provides timely, high-quality medical care for patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries in an urgent care setting. This role focuses on rapid evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of non-life-threatening conditions, emphasizing patient-centered care, efficiency, and appropriate care coordination./ppEvaluate and treat patients with acute medical conditions and minor injuries/ppManage common urgent care presentations such as respiratory infections, gastrointestinal illnesses, musculoskeletal injuries, lacerations, burns, and minor trauma/ppPerform procedures consistent with training and privileges, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care/ppOrder and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory studies, X-rays, and point-of-care testing/ppPrescribe medications and provide treatment plans appropriate to urgent care settings/ppProvide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care/ppIdentify patients requiring higher levels of care and coordinate transfers to emergency departments or specialty services/ppDocument patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner/ppCollaborate with nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and support staff/ppParticipate in quality improvement, patient safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives/ppComply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards/ppDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school/ppCompletion of an accredited residency program in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine/ppBoard-eligible or board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine/ppAbility to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure/ppDEA registration or eligibility/ppStrong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills/ppAbility to manage a wide range of acute conditions efficiently/ppProficiency in office-based and minor surgical procedures/ppExcellent communication and patient education abilities/ppAbility to work effectively in fast-paced, high-volume environments/ppCommitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care/ppUrgent care centers with extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays/ppShift-based scheduling/ppAbility to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinical environment/ppManual dexterity for procedures and examinations/ppVisual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient assessment and communication/p/div
