Director, US Commercial & Global Medical Affairs Sourcing & Procurement - Alexion

Alexion, a division of AstraZeneca, seeks an experienced Director to lead US Commercial and Global Medical Affairs sourcing and procurement. This hands-on leadership role partners with senior business leaders to execute strategic sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and deliver enterprise value across multiple categories while leading a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute category management and strategic sourcing strategies for Commercial and Medical organizations
Lead sourcing events, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management across multiple categories
Partner with stakeholders across functions to identify opportunities and drive supply chain transformation
Coach and develop team members while remaining actively involved in day-to-day sourcing activities
Perform contract compliance reviews and manage supplier risk and escalation issues

Requirements

Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred
CPSM certification or equivalent
10+ years biopharmaceutical industry procurement and category management experience
Exceptional negotiation and problem-solving skills with relationship-building focus
Strong communication, stakeholder influence, and facilitation abilities
Subject expertise in biopharmaceutical commercial and medical services preferred
