Certified Surgical Technologist

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures. The clinician will prepare the operating room, sterilize equipment, and support the surgical team to promote patient safety and efficient workflow.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent (CST required by client).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Certified OR Tech / Surgical Technologist in a surgical environment.
• Demonstrated experience with a broad range of procedures including bariatric surgeries (gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, lap band), laparoscopic procedures, vascular procedures (AAA repair, EVAR, fem-pop bypass), carotid procedures (angioplasty, endarterectomy), general/abdominal surgeries (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair), ENT and head & neck (tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, tracheostomy, radical neck dissection, direct laryngoscopy), gynecologic procedures (D&C, laparoscopic gynecologic procedures, cervical cerclage), urologic/sterile cases, breast and endocrine (mastectomy, thyroidectomy), and orthopedic/neurosurgical spine procedures (laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, XLIF), plus trauma fracture reductions and other specialty cases as listed by the client.
• Ability to handle complex instrumentation and sterile technique for open and minimally invasive procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional perioperative certifications or specialty training relevant to vascular, neuro, or bariatric surgery preferred.
• Experience in a hospital operating room setting preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 11:00 - 21:30.
• Schedule: 4x10.
• Client requires flexibility to work either 11:00 AM or 1:00 PM start on some weeks.
• Candidates may be required to float to other facilities as needed.
