Punch Press Operator - 2nd Shift

HTI is hiring a 2nd Shift Punch Press Operator for Engineered Products. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity offering comprehensive benefits . Pay: $23-$27/hr., depending on experience, plus additional shift differential
Shift: 2nd Shift
Hours: 11:00 AM-7:00 PM or 1:00 PM-8:00 PM

What You'll Do

As a Punch Press Operator, you'll be responsible for safely operating punch press equipment while producing quality metal components that meet customer specifications and production goals. Your responsibilities will include:

• Operate punch press machinery safely and efficiently to meet production requirements

• Set up tooling, dies, and machine settings according to production specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, production orders, drawings, and work instructions

• Load and position materials properly for punching and forming operations

• Perform in-process quality inspections using tape measures, calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools

• Monitor product quality and dimensional accuracy throughout production

• Inspect finished parts for defects and verify they meet required specifications

• Troubleshoot minor machine, tooling, and material issues

• Complete production, quality, scrap, and downtime documentation accurately

• Perform routine machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S standards

• Follow all OSHA, PPE, machine guarding, and lockout/tagout safety procedures

• Work closely with production, quality, and leadership teams to meet production goals and reduce waste

What We're Looking For

Qualified candidates will have:

• Manufacturing or industrial machine operation experience

• Experience operating punch presses, stamping equipment, metal fabrication equipment, or similar production machinery preferred

• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications

• Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges

• Ability to accurately measure to 1/32" or better

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Basic math and computer skills

• Ability to safely handle raw materials and finished components

• Forklift and/or overhead crane experience is a plus

• Commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures

• Ability to wear required PPE throughout the workday
