Manager Finance Technology (Workday)

Manager, Finance Technology (Workday Financials) Overview Seeking a Manager of Finance Technology to lead the strategy, support, and optimization of Workday Financials. This role will oversee a team responsible for finance technology solutions, drive financial systems transformation initiatives, and partner closely with finance and technology leaders to improve processes, data integrity, and user experience. Key Responsibilities Own the roadmap, strategy, and prioritization for Workday Financials and related finance technology products. Lead day‑to‑day operations, support, and continuous improvement efforts across finance systems. Partner with finance, accounting, and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions and drive adoption. Oversee system integrations, data migrations, validations, and ongoing data quality initiatives. Manage Workday releases, enhancements, testing, and production support activities. Develop governance processes, maintain documentation, and support project prioritization. Lead and mentor a team of Workday and finance technology professionals. Serve as an escalation point for complex issues and provide executive‑level status reporting. Manage vendor relationships and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. 5+ years of leadership experience managing technology teams. 5+ years of hands‑on Workday experience, preferably with Workday Financials. Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, including General Ledger, AP, AR, Procurement, Expense Management, Tax, and Fixed Assets. Experience leading technology projects from planning through implementation and support. Knowledge of data migration, integration, validation, and third‑party system connectivity. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Workday Pro certifications preferred.
