SOCIAL WORK SUPERVISOR IV - CMHHIP

Position Overview: The Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Pueblo (CMHHIP) seeks a Social‑Work Supervisor to lead the Social Work department in a 24‑hour behavioral health acute care setting. The role requires Colorado residency and a valid Colorado license (LSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LAC). Schedule Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the CMHHIP campus. Work arrangements are subject to change at any time. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all Social Work staff, including scheduling, coverage, and performance management. Provide clinical supervision (individual, family, group therapies; psychosocial treatments; multisystem education advocacy; case management). Oversee admissions, treatment, patient progression, discharge planning, and community re‑integration. Participate in committees, meetings, workgroups, and projects; attend Morning Report and Oversight meetings. Develop clinical and administrative guidelines, program policies, and quality initiatives. Conduct quality assurance and chart audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards. Identify training needs, provide coaching, mentoring, and continuing education oversight. Build relationships with academic institutions, supervise externship students, and oversee student supervision. Maintain documentation standards, conduct audits, and support data collection for outcomes analysis. Participate in safety and security collaborations and perform other duties as assigned. Quality Assurance & Documentation Review Measure, monitor, and manage services to achieve desired patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation for completeness and regulatory adherence. Analyze electronic health record data to identify individual treatment needs. Professional Development & Staff Education Promote staff professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and training needs assessments. Plan and facilitate in‑service training on social work practices and hospital policies. Maintain up‑to‑date professional licensure and clinical skills. Prioritize staff participation in conferences, workshops, and training within budget. Student Training, Supervision, and Other Duties Collaborate with academic institutions to develop training opportunities and curricula. Supervise team members in the supervision of externship students. Provide hospital‑wide ad‑hoc support as needed (e.g., milieu support, patient transport). Minimum Qualifications Current valid Colorado licensure: LSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LAC. Two (2) years licensed supervisory experience, including performance management, coaching, delegation, and workload oversight. Licensure must meet legal requirements to perform supervisory responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing pre‑licensed and/or licensed staff. Experience with audits and documentation compliance. Experience implementing policies and social work practice guidelines. Experience providing clinical oversight, including review of assessments, risk determinations, and treatment planning. Experience addressing ethical concerns, boundary issues, or professional conduct matters among staff. Conditions Of Employment Full background check and reference check required. Physical ability to perform essential duties, including lifting, restraining, and defensive tactics training. Minimum age 21 years.
