The role supports student participation while completing the final semesters of a Bachelor’s Degree, offering tuition and certification reimbursement, scholarship opportunities, staff safety via a wearable badge, night and weekend shift differentials, higher education and certification differentials, malpractice liability insurance, loan forgiveness through the NewMexico Higher Education Department, and EPIC electronic charting. Work Schedule (2) 10‑hour shifts in Days or Swings. Sign on bonuses $4,000‑$7,500 depending on level of experience, available for qualified candidates. Responsibilities Deliver prehospital 911 emergency care and inter‑facility transportation (IFT). Operate emergency vehicles safely, in accordance with EVOC. Document and maintain accurate medical records for patient encounters through ImageTrend Elite. Provide support to field crews via on‑site social workers and medical equipment. Maintain flexibility while completing the final semesters of a Bachelor’s Degree. Qualifications Maintain full‑time enrollment (at least 12 credit hours) at UNM EMSA toward a Bachelors of Science in EMS. High School Diploma/GED equivalent. Current New Mexico driver’s license with no restrictions. Minimum age 18 with an insurable driving record per Presbyterian policy. New Mexico Paramedic license. Current ACLS and BLS through AHA, ASHI, or Red Cross. Up‑to‑date FEMA 100, 200, 700 courses. EMT experience preferred. Pass physical abilities assessment. Obtain medical examiner and DOT certification as part of onboarding. Benefits Sign‑on bonus $4,000‑$7,500.
