Title - Certified Sterile Processing Tech
Location - Austin TX 78717
Duration - 3 months
Schedule - 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm

Duties -
To provide for the efficient processing of instruments and sterilization throughout client.
• Processes decontaminated medical devices as they are received, according to established priorities, medical device IFU's and best practices.
• Receives instruments from the decontamination area and processes appropriately.
• Performs physical and environmental duties as designated on a routine daily basis, including but not limited to cleaning work space/instrument room/cabinets, emptying biohazards waste, monitoring sterilizers, and checking environmental monitors.
• Completes sterilization processes.
• Performs high level disinfection.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including other essential instrument room duties.

Required :
Proficiency with:
Steam, EO, and low-temp sterilization systems
Washer/disinfector operations
Ultrasonic cleaners
Biological and chemical indicator testing
2 years' Experience
(1) 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm Monday to Friday

Skills-
• Knowledge of a wide variety of instrumentation used in the operating room and throughout the Hospital.
• Ability to operate all OR sterilization and processing equipment, to prioritize and organize, and to work independently with consistent supervision

Education -
Required - CRCST - Cert-Cert Reg Cent Ser TECH International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management Or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution
Technician issued by The Certification Board
for Sterile Processing and Distribution"
