This position is 100% onsite opportunity and requires a base in the greater Chicagoland area. As a Housekeeper I , you will provide a clean, safe, attractive environment for patients, visitors and staff. Essential Job Functions Perform 10 step general cleaning procedures in all care areas Inpatient & Outpatient (including ICU, ED, Behavioral Health, Periop) and non-patient care areas. Take down blinds, curtains drapes, cubicles and rehangs. Wash walls and ceilings. Complete various projects related to EVS function and perform other duties assigned. Perform floor stripping, refinishing, burnishing and spray buffing. Vacuums carpets and performs shampooing with carpet equipment. Collect general waste and recycling material and transport to pick up point or compactor/dock for disposal. Collect both biohazardous waste and transport to designated pickup point. Operate other floor care equipment and battery-operated machines including riding equipment. Work from ladder/scaffolding and extension platforms. Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend to floor and reach above head to perform duties requiring continuous physical effort. Ability to complete assigned tasks without direct supervision. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. The pay range is based on a full‑time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
