Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will be a key leader within manufacturing operations, responsible for driving major capital projects, equipment upgrades, and plant reliability initiatives. This individual will work across mechanical, electrical, controls, and process engineering disciplines to improve production efficiency, reduce downtime, increase capacity, and support long-term business growth. A major focus of the role will be leading and supporting a high-visibility $18 million capital project, while partnering with operations, maintenance, vendors, and contractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. 5-7+ years of manufacturing experience including equipment, plant engineering, and reliability Experience leading or supporting large capital projects. Experience with electro-mechanical systems, automation, and process equipment. Hands-on experience mechanical 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Inventor) software experience Experience troubleshooting equipment failures and implementing improvements. Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, contractors, and vendors. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
