Human Resources Assistant

HR Assistant PositionThe position works full-time Monday through Thursday. The position includes medical, dental, disability, and life insurance. The position also includes paid leave. The successful candidate must be an active member of a Southern Baptist church and be in agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message (2000). The right candidate will be prepared to support the work of our human resources office through a variety of tasks, including data management, assisting with payroll, and answering phones.HR Administrative Assistant ResponsibilitiesPerform any necessary administrative work for HR staffCompile and update employee documentation and all recordsAssist with new employee orientation by providing onboarding packets and answering any questions about payroll, benefits, and other key tenets of employmentHelp new hires complete steps for payroll setupAnswer employee inquiries as neededComplete forms, logs, and records to keep track of human resources processesAnswer telephone calls as they come in, taking detailed messagesPrepare reportsHR Administrative Assistant RequirementsBA/BS in human resources or similar field preferredStrong working knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite and HR softwareFamiliarity with labor lawsSuperb organizational and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be a team player
