Weekend Caregiver

Senior Helpers Northern Orange County

Senior Helpers Northern Orange County is looking for experienced weekend caregivers only.

Caregiver qualifications:

• Experience with transferring clients between various locations (wheelchair, bed, etc.) utilizing proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
• Experience with using a gate belt assistance.
• Experience with assisting clients with personal hygiene tasks including sponge baths, bathing, toileting, grooming, etc.
• Experience with assisting clients with incontinence care and bed-ridden care.
• Willing to attend training regarding Dementia and Alzheimer's.
• 1 year of experience preferred, but not required.
• Reliable transportation
• Driver's license & auto insurance

What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like? Providing a helping hand.

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships.
• Participate in your clients' favorite hobbies (walking, gardening, games, etc.)
• Prep meals for your clients to enjoy.
• Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living.
• Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients' physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.
