Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Summary:

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for assisting in cardiac catheterization procedures, monitoring patients intracardiac pressures, and operating specialized equipment to support diagnostic and interventional cardiology. This role ensures accurate data collection and maintains safety protocols throughout procedures.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Monitor patient blood pressures and inform physicians of any significant changes.
  
  
• 
  Interpret intracardiac pressures to track catheter positioning during procedures.
  
  
• 
  Record pressures, events, and procedural data using the Cardiac Cath Lab computer.
  
  
• 
  Prepare and calibrate equipment such as A-Vox, Cardiac Output, and ACT monitoring devices.
  
  
• 
  Assist physicians by supplying necessary instruments, catheters, wires, balloons, and stents.
  
  
• 
  Operate intra-aortic balloon pumps, adjusting timing as directed by physicians, and monitor during procedures.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical training preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with Cardiac Cath Lab equipment, including power injectors and ultrasound.
  
  
• 
  Capable of operating and troubleshooting diagnostic and monitoring devices.
  
  
• 
  Ability to perform emergency resuscitation measures and assist in critical situations.
  
  
• 
  Maintain knowledge of new technologies and procedures relevant to cardiac catheterization.
  
  
• 
  Certification or licensure is not explicitly required but relevant healthcare certifications are preferred.
