Reports to: Sales Admin Supervisor

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)

JOB SUMMARY

A Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for accurately entering customer order information into the ERP system in a manufacturing environment. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and experienced using ERP systems to support order processing and customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Enter customer orders into the ERP system with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Communicate with internal departments such as sales, production, and logistics to ensure order accuracy and fulfillment timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of customer orders records of all order transactions.
• Monitor order status and proactively resolve or escalate delays and issues.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, changes, or documentation.
• Assist in generating order-related reports and documentation as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to order entry and post-sales processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in order entry, customer service, or administrative support in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Office and travel have moderate noise levels. Machine/Product demonstrations and customer visits can have loud noise levels.

Noise levels may be extreme and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and usage is driven by customer requirements. Other required PPE includes, but is not limited to, steel toe boots, hardhat and safety glasses. Customer working environments can be extreme in regards to height, confined space, physical requirements and hazards.
