The Salvation Army Temporary Position*** Part- Time up to 29 Hours Per Week, Compensation Rate: $16.00 Per Hour***(Temporary Position available through 12/24/2026)The Salvation Army Mission: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.Summary/Primary Purpose: Responsible for submitting bills to Divisional Headquarters (DHQ) and preparing bank deposits. Provide assistance to sponsors and respond to client's request and needs for Christmas assistance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide the public with information regarding Salvation Army Christmas assistance programs.The ability to be a self-starter and work independently with minimal supervision.Be knowledgeable about holiday assistance in the metro area and make referrals as needed.Complete and approve online Christmas applications.Display professionalism when working with clients on the phone and in person.Schedule appointments and complete in person Christmas applications.Ensure that all applications are accurate and entered in a timely manner.Return all phone calls from clients regarding the Christmas assistance programs.Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneEducation and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and at least three months experience in the related field.Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.Ability to be flexible and able to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneouslyIntermediate computer skills to include utilizing various office equipment, with ability to access payroll, timekeeping and personal data via a web-based system.Attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.Strong independent judgement.Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 30 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army.Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
