Position Overview

Private Markets Specialists support investment and platform teams by analyzing private investment opportunities, monitoring portfolios, and contributing to long-term investment decision-making across illiquid asset classes. The role emphasizes fundamental analysis, market research, and portfolio support , rather than public-market trading or real-time execution.

These professionals work closely with investment teams, portfolio management, fund operations, and external advisors throughout the private investment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Support evaluation of private market investment opportunities across multiple asset classes

• Conduct sector, market, and thematic research relevant to private investments

• Assist with opportunity screening, pipeline tracking, and investment documentation

• Support transaction processes and coordination with internal teams and external advisors

• Monitor portfolio performance and track key operational and financial metrics

• Assist with valuation support, portfolio reviews, and performance reporting

• Contribute to fund-level analysis, capital deployment tracking, and investment pacing

• Support investor reporting and data requests related to private market investments

• Build and maintain internal databases, dashboards, and analytical tools

• Prepare materials for internal reviews, committees, and senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field

• Strong interest in private markets and alternative investments

• Foundational understanding of private equity, venture capital, private credit, or real assets

• Experience or coursework in investment research, valuation, or portfolio analysis (preferred but not required)

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial modeling tools is a plus

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a deadline-driven environment

• Clear written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
