Vendor Quality Assurance Specialist

In This Role Serve as a liaison between Four Hands and US vendors to follow product quality and packaging specifications Build and manage vendor relationships through regular one‑on‑one meetings, representing the organization while balancing vendor needs and constraints Partner cross‑functionally with product and quality teams to align on vendor product quality and root cause analysis Lead product and packaging testing to ensure durability, longevity, and safe delivery, including hands‑on validation of product performance Evaluate and improve packaging effectiveness, particularly for fragile and high‑risk items Train and guide vendors on testing standards, procedures and QARMA inspections Identify quality issues and defect trends, driving root cause analysis and resolution with vendors Hold vendors accountable for corrective actions, ensuring issues are resolved within established timelines Manage data and reporting within PLM system around product technical specifications Participate in sample reviews with US Sourcing and Austin Design as required Travel to vendor locations at least 25% of time (domestic and international) Other duties as assigned, in accordance with training and qualifications Uphold the Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands team Be open and honest Reach for excellence Act with responsibility Value the whole person Enjoy the journey The Ideal Person Minimum 3 years’ experience in supplier or product quality coordination, furniture experience preferred Ability to travel to vendor locations at least 25% of time (domestic and international) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience leading vendor calls, documenting issues, and providing clear feedback Proven ability to operate independently, manage priorities, and drive vendor follow‑ups to completion with minimal oversight Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills High attention to detail with sense of urgency and the ability to balance competing priorities About Four Hands Headquartered in Austin, Texas, since 1996, Four Hands crafts furniture, art and décor — pieces that are all about creating space.
