Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. In this people-first role, you will support access awareness, observe activity, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity in a dynamic environment.

Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and/or policy violations through visible presence and attentive observation.
• Support loss prevention and other site personnel with security-related reporting, incident follow-up, and customer assistance while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
